But her many fans will be asking questions about her three previous novels: "Resting in the Bosom of the Lamb, Praise Jerusalem," and "Sophie and the Rising Sun." HARBOR FILM The novel, by Augusta Trobaugh, is to be published this week, and tells the story of a love affair between a Georgia woman and a Japanese-American gardener in 1941. Their relationship takes a dangerous turn following the attack on Pearl Harbor, the report said. Chow, who became a celebrity in Asian film circles after starring for director John Woo in such films as "The Killer" and "Hard Boiled," made his biggest impression on Western filmgoers last year with "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." The actor has taken the past year off to ponder his next move, and has settled on either "Bulletproof Monk," an action flick based on a graphic novel, or the love story "Waiting," which is being written and directed by Peter Chan. Variety said Chow is also to reunite with Woo in 2002 to star in "Men Of Iron," based on a screenplay by "Face/Off" writers Mike Werb and Michael Colleary. The film is set in the late 1800s, and Chow would star as a Chinese man working on construction of the American transcontinental railroad. • 01
